SQ won't spin

My SQ top loader gets to the spin cycle and then does not spin. All the other cycles seem to be working fine. Any input would be appreciated.

SQ has two belts, check the spin belt. Also there is a spring to maintain the tension, sometimes it comes off or breaks. They are the two most likely to happen.

If the belt was off it wouldn't agitate either so I doubt that's it.
When it is supposed to spin is the motor running? If it doesn't, possible timer or bad motor.
How old is the machine? Does the motor bolt to the floor or to the outer tub?

after visually inspecting the belts, spring, I would run the washer empty. If it runs fine, then motor issue. if it doesn't change timer and retry.

Also possible is a sock stuck between the wash basket and the outer tub, they jam up tight and act as a brake. Carefully inspect all the holes in the wash basket, unless it's a black one, you'll see it.

Thanks for all your input. It turned out to be bad motor,pump and belt.

You may have changed the motor, pump and belt but only one was causing the problem.
