I had something similar happen, you can try and look. It was a wire had come loose on the keypad area were you select the wash cycle.

You say no cold water till the final rinse. Is that through the conditioner disp?
If so then you probably have a bad cold water valve or at least one side of it. To verify ,check for 120 volts at coil when you should be getting cold water. If you get voltage and no water then change valve. You could also swap wires with the other side of the cold water valve if you don't have a meter.

Those valves are so inexpensive that you just replace the whole thing. Not worth the effort to change a diaphram. They go for about 13 bucks, give or take.

For what it's worth - I just had the same problem. I verified it was a bad water valve and am currently waiting on getting a replacement.

thanks guys--i switched the wires on the cold water inlet valve and water was flushing through the dispenser on the wash cycle so it looks like that side was bad--ordered a new valve(2 actually) you folks are a great help in keeping costs down--bv

Marc is going to make me take the top off and look at a water valve now.. I never thought there was 2 "sides" to a water valve.

learn something new now and then..

In some OPL washer there are actually up to 4 valves ( 4 way) in one unit. Most coin-op washers have either 2 way or 3 way or a combination of both.

And then theres the Uni-mac 5 way nightmare valve on the coin machines.

I love those big Mueller valves. They are very dependable.
