Hi all!,

I just installed 3 new w640es machines in my store
(12 days ago) and I have noticed that on high speed spin there is a high pitched squeeling kinda noise. Is this just a break in thing or are they defective? The distributor and I ran them after they where installed, without a load of cloths and I didn't hear the noise...but now it seems when loaded with cloths I've heard the sound a few times. I called the distributor and he said he will come by and run them again. In the mean time I want to know if anyone knows if this is a common/normal thing or should I make sure it is noted for warrenty purposes. The last thing I want is after the 30 day labor warrenty expires the service guy says "oh well it seems the bearings are all defective the good new is they are under warrenty the bad news is the labor is not ...sorry" Ouch!

Thanks for any advice...Joe

Sounds like belt(s) are slipping or there is a misalignment between the basket pulley and the motor.

Not sure about this model but there may or may not be a motor tension spring that could be missing or disconnected.
