I'm going to have a few extra 25 year old Dexters 30# single pocket dryers labeld by Maytag. are they worth anything?

I will recycle several through my laundry rooms but I will have 3 or 4 left over.

What should I do with them?

Hopefully you can find someone to haul them away that won't charge you too much, but with the price of gas for their vehicle climbing what they charge will likely go up. Seriously, 25 year old dryers are worth just about zero.

They are worth more in parts only. Strip them down.

I take it they are DG33CQ'S. Funny thing is that the design hasn't changed since there inception as the dexter 30's are basically the same. My friends mat around the corner from me has 18 DG34cq's and loves em. Great dryers, heats well and has few problems. Still going strong after 15 years!!!!

I'll take a motor or 2.

A few laundry owners will want them.
When I was in service and resell business,I sold a lot of those old dryer to hotals, car wash owners, they don't care what they look or gas cost,as long as they are big and hot!I even sold some super old Hubsch, those dryer were older than me.
I sold them from $200-600,it depent on the warranty and deliever cost.

Don't let your dealer get his grubby hands on them,he'll tell you they're worth zip and I'm sure you can get at least a thousand for them!

they are worth what a buyer will pay. Normaly nothing, but you may find a situation that you can sell them for a couple hundred.
I would strip some parts and hope a junk man will haul them off.
Trade them in on your new stacks.....

I love them to and mine work great but I've got 14 washers and only 8 dryers.
(I don't know why they built the mat that way and how they survived for 20 or 30 years with that ratio)

I've only had the mat since the spring and it's not unusual for me to see two people wash two or three loads each and use all 8 dryers to dry them. Then others walk in see all the dryers are running and walk out.

I'm replacing them solely to get the ratio up to 14 washers / 16 dryers. ( i will add some more high capacity front loaders later but i need to take down a wall to do that)
