Yeah, I know, not another vending question?
Does anyone have a coffee vending machine?
Is it a maintenance hassle?
What kind of margins can one expect?
Thanks!

One of our customer service perks is giving away coffee in the winter, adding the occassional treats I may bake or donuts we may buy.....
I have found the easiest money in a fairly high traffic mat is video, candy, tattoss, gum. The stuff you really do not have to bother with. One store has a scale, 175.00 in sales we net 50% for 14 days. For the same period the video games have netted 300+, great money for 0 effort!
I had a coffee vending machine several years ago and I have to tell you it was not worth the hassle. At $0.35 per cup it would take until dooms day to pay for a machine. I give a way coffee every day and on Saturday and Sunday I have the attendants bring in a couple dozen donuts-all free, the customers love free stuff. When I was in college my friends and I all shopped for food at this nice supermarket because they gave away coffee cookies and donuts holes-it got me in there so i figured it would do the same for some of my customers.

I had the same experiences as Andy. Bad. Coffee, soup, cups, powder cream, and so on - all a pain.
I give away stuff ( washes, soda, soap, chips, hangers) whenever I have the opportunity. Several times a week someone gets something on the house, believe me it pays. I am not talking about alot of money here, a typical situation places me at one of the vending machines filling it when someone walks up to buy. They remember that and those people will then be more likely to lookout for your interests.

if you are attended anyway, just charge 5 cents a cup out of the pot. Or even gicve it away. I had a coffee machine once, my employees used it the most. It was a business unrelated to this

I give away coffee every morning until noon. Customers are always thanking me for the extra perk (perc?).
Some are so happy that they bring in donuts to share with other customers. Newbies to the laundry are so impressed -- makes them feel comfortable with the people around them. Less like strangers, more like new friends. Word is passed, and customer base grows. Yippeeee!

EPA will be after you very soon if you are giving out free Perc. :)
Get a candy machine or video game!
Who want to pay for coffee in laundromat in the hot summer? You still have to stock them.
You don't need to stock anything for your video game!
