Like an idiot

I leave my 14 year old in charge of boiling pasta.....it overflowed and seemed to seep into the controls and short out my stove. I have a 5.5 year old Maytag flat top oven. Smoke billowed from the bottom and top. It is off, seemingly with no power, but I do hear some very, very soft hint of a fan. But yet nothing is on? What happened? What besides calling a repairman in the am, should I do???

Be patient, when it dries out it may start working again. Possibly the breaker blew. If your home in a couple days don,t waste your money, I'll say a pray for the stove.

Fried the circuit and relay boards..need new freaking stove!

Do you have digital camera? If so can you take several pictures of the board both front and back and either post it here or e-mail it to me. Be sure to get the components clearly and the traces on back.
I may be able to fix it or guide you into fixing it. It may not be that bad!!!!
