Check in with us and let us know if any of you NY, North Jersey,or any other affected City Laundry Guys and Girls were affected by the Power outage.

Lost power for a few minutes. My city has some Natural Gas generators that were fired up to help out. With all the outages in town they could only handle a few square blocks and my store was in one of those blocks. Had several people come from other stores with wet clothes....

I was headed towards the NY Mets vs Giants game when the power went out. Two hour drive each way to not see a game. No power problems in my part of NJ, power never even blinked.

Kind of surprised to see this board is up and running since the server in on Long Island - guess they have backup generators.

I was at work in NJ when power went out. Luckily I am in the same building as our Data Center so the generators kicked in and did not affect any servers (we have about 800 servers). My Laundromat in Rockland lost power. I called my attendant and have her close the store at 5:30pm. I got power back at my house around 6:30pm.

The power at my store (and the surrounding area) has been out since before 4:00 PM. Looks like we'll be doing lots of free WDF tomorrow AM, unless of course there is no power then. People left their wet clothes in the washers and dryers.

I was on my way (in the air) to Newark Airport when the power went out. The airport was on backup power and the luggage situation was an unmitigated disaster. I flew standby to get an eariler flight out of Vegas and I probably got the last flight out to the east. I have friends that ended up in Houston and Boston that were supposed to be in Newark.

Other than that, the Clean Show was awesome!

I bet there are some folks heading home from the clean show, inconvenienced greatly. I hope everyone fares well.
