Has anyone had the glass break on a washer door. My attendant told me that a customer came came to her last night and said the machine was leaking. Turns out the glass had fractured at about 2 O'clock as you face the washer. It is all the way in right at the edge of the large flat surface. I checked and it is not possible for a cart to hit there, so I am at a loss as to what caused it mid-cycle. I did find a dime and a quarter in the washer this morning, could that have caused it????

Had one recently while I wasn't there (of course). The story is that a little kid was running around slamming doors. Easy to clean, that glass breaks into huge chunks.
One time my night clean-up guy broke it by mopping the floor. The handle went right through it and left a mess. Check the journal, there is a guy who sells all types of doors for about $25.00.
Good Luck

Thanks for the suggestion on low priced doors, but fortunately I am a pack rat and had a bunch of old W73 doors, and the glass seems to be the same from that to the W75 - perfect fit!
Lucky you, I just broke one of my 50# glasses and it cost $ 124 to replace with overnite shipping. Wished I could have found a used one but was running the 50 pounders round the clock so no time to search for one.
