I've been having a problem with my Wasco we16#'s not spinning out with only one small item (like a bath mat) in the tub. I've asked Wasco and they say it's an out of balance problem since it only has the one item in there it has no way to balance before spinout. But I can run the machine empty and it will spin every time. Any Ideas or ways to by-pass and make the machine spin every time?

When it is empty it is balanced so there is no problem. With one large item like that you will have a problem and there is no safe way to bypass the out of balance. I think the only practicle solution is to put more in the machine. Sorry.
The machine is balanced on axis, they are like shock absorbers. If less than 3 items are put in the machine it will not spin out all the water and will spin for only a short period of time. (unbalanced). These machines are not really build for big loads , or for one item loads like spreads or quilts. Hopefully you don't have many, because they are not a good machine.
I've seen people throw extra towels to bypass this problem...but ofcourse, you and your attendants will have to be watching customers ...
It shouldn't happen all the time as customer don't usually have just one item (ie. rubber mat) to wash.

Thanks for the help.. I figured I was stuck...Your right It doesn't happen often but I don't like people thinking there's a problem with the machine..I'd post some signs but nobody would read them..

Do you like these machine. I know they are sold for the home under the frigidaire name. They seem better made then a neptune. They may be a good choice for a home washer, they are cheaper then a neptune.

Yes, I like the machine itself, hate the slide out soap tray..Hard to clean. I've got 15 of them and have been open for almost a year and have had only one problem with a hair clip making its way to the drain pump and stopping it from draining(easily fixed)..I think in my next store I will not go with anything smaller than a 20# machine..

Geoffrey, wanna buy some? I bought 5 last year and took them out of service within a few months. I bought them because of the Wascomat name...they are just junk, I'm surprised Wasco hasn;t recalled all of them!!
