View Full Version : Gen 5 Wascomat parts
I sold all my Wascomat Gen5 3 years ago, have not worked on them since.
I am going to Clean 03 then drive to my brother in law's laundromat fix washers, dryers. The laundromat has a few Gen 5.
Do most Wascomat Gen5 share the same parts?
Do they use same timer?I know most Gen 3,4 use the same parts, only difference is voltage.
What is cheapest place to buy Gen 5 parts?I like to bring some tools and parts there.

There are several different Gen 5 Timers. All the other parts are interchangable depending on voltage.
Do I need serial # to order a timer?
I try to have parts on hand before I drive to the laundomat since I am going to stay 2 days only.

If you find the timer bad, then you could take the ser numbers and order one, your brother in law should be able to put in a timer, you can show him when there. This would save buying elecrtical parts ahead, which may not be returnable.
Well, the W185 has been down for over 2 years because timer burned out,I am just sick and tired the washer been down so long.Otherwise I won't spend my vacation drive 5,6 hours one way to fix washers.I will call and get the serial number today.
I own part of the store too, never have partnership business again!

Wouldn't it have been better in the long run to hire someone to fix the washer.
2 years being down?
I get upset if something is down for 2 days.....
