How do you charge to process hotel sheets? Do you charge by the piece or by the pound? And what is the going rate for processing these items? Is there a "boilerplate" language contract available for use?

I did a large motel chain's linens a few years back and charged .65 a pound and did very well. You must remember that linens are very heavy in weight. I picked them up and delivered them . They were having dryer problems and then the had a electrical fire. I had to add extra help to handle the loads at both stores. My normal charge was .90 a pound then. You can wash very full loads in your large fronts, but you have to realy spread them out in the dryers, but the dry very quickly.... maybe 18 min. for about 5 or 6 sheets at a time. Hope this helps and be ready because it is labor intensive.
