How often do you clean your Dryer Duct work? Does 2 years sound about right? Last time it cost me $350.00 about two months ago. What a mess.

When I bought my mat they were all almost plugged solid. I replaced all the dryers and cleaned out all the ducts. I just checked a few of them a month or so ago and they are clean as when I put them in three years ago. I think clogging is a function of your lint screens and how much airflow you are getting through them - the more flow the less that clings to the walls.

Talk about plugged solid... the main 'box'/plenum in mine is so heavy with lint its sagging - scary.

We're going to wait until the new dryers arrive before stirring up this mess - but I was wondering: How clean does anyone's Duct Cleaning service get these ?

About half the Ducts are to be changed; All the old dryers are 15 lb stacks with 4" vents going into 6" manifold - new ones will be 6" vents going into 8"

MC,

If I were you I would be concerned about the condition of your vents. First of al its a fire hazard and the efficiency of your dryers must be very poor. When you clean yor lint screens, are you finding huge build up for a short period of time? My suggestion is to clean them as quickly as possible. A fire may not wait for your new dryers.

However, my lease agreement says I will have to - it doesn't start until next week. This is an ancient mat, but its brand new for me.

Believe me MC its for your own safety and the safety of your customers and your investments. Not to mention it will save you money on your gas bill and your customers will be more pleased with the performance of your dryers. Cost should not be more than $400.00. Shop around!
