Sounds like a bad drain valve coil.

Could be a bad door lock coil, but it then again could be anything after the fuse including a wire that is chafed and touching the shell. Does it consistantly fail in the same spot all the time.

Do you have a pancake valve or Dependo. If dependo then the coil is most likely bad. Try replacing the fuse and disconnecting the wires to the drain valve. If it works then you know what you have to do.
If not then your best bet is to take a 100 watt light bulb in a socket with wires attached ending in aligator clips. Attach it to the terminals where the fuse holder wires goes, then start machine. At the point where there is trouble the bulb will glow bright. Observe the timer and figure out what device comes on at the point where the bulb glows brightest and that is most likely the problem. You can verify that by disconnecting the part and see if the light goes dim.

any time i had a fuse blow on a wasco, it was a loose wire . Look for a burn mark on the doormech. Also check the relays possibly a bare wire there. Open the top lid and remove the front panel, you'll see the smoke or a spark.

disconnect the harness a the drain valve and see what happens.

Pc Board on the capacitor may be bad and you are not getting dc voltage to the coil.

AJ,I'm confused. When this started, this was a fuse blowing problem, now it seems to be a no start problem. From what I've read the fuse problem starts to blow after you said water comes in,so it had to of locked up.At that point you have a short somewhere. Now if its not locking up you wouldn't get water coming in so its probably what laundry pro said, delay unit board, especially because you changed the door lock and drain.

Its got to be a loose wire or a loose connection or a short somewhere in the system. When the fuse blows do you see any sparks ?

In place of the fuse use a 100 watt light bulb so you do not waste fuses. Then look for the short.
