Hello Everyone,

The mere question I am posing will alert you to the fact that I am a Newbie! Ha!

We replaced the contact on our Cont. and it still won't spin. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the drain valve first. Most machines won't enter spin if there is still water in the system, which usually occurs because the drain is plugged up.

If that's OK, then check the drain tubes as well.

Let us know if this fixes it or not.

Welcome Penny to Coinwash.com

Cont. = Continental washer?
does turn at wash speed?
Single phase or 3 phase machine?

If memory serves cont. single phase washers have a overload switch that when tripped needs to be reset. It is located in the rear behind the small plate. Usually it trips if the drain is clogged with debris as already stated or if the cent switch is not releasing.

Does the contactor pull in at the correct time (spin cycle)?
If you push down on the contactor (in the center) does it spin?
If you have acess to a voltmeter (multimeter) do you get 220 betweenthe contactor terminals 1 and 3, 3 and 5 on a 3 phase model and trminal 1 and 3 only on a single phase model.

Aside from that we will need more info in order to trace what is going on.
