I just got a call that a stack dexter dryer I have would not stop. No heat but the basket keeps on turning. Anybody encounter this before?

Yes, it does happens. Most likely the motor relay on the computer board is pitted and stuck together. Depending on your capabilities you can remove the defective one and replace it yourself (requires (un)soldering) or send the board in to one of many different companies that fix dryer boards. See back of The Journal.
I would check the current draw on the motor to see if you are drawing more that normal current which may be causing the relay to fail prematurely.

I'll check it later today to see what's going on and let all know what the result. I may go ahead and swap the computer board to see if this clears the problem. If it does, I'll send this computer board under existing warranty service.

just tap the relay, no need to swap. if the motor stops then you know what is wrong.

The large relay is the moter relay, smaller one is gas valve relay.
Remove the top cover, you can see the connection and clean it.
You can run it without the conver.
It will last you 2,3 more weeks.
Dexter use 24vdc (not AC)10-15A@110v 20-30A @220v relay, NTE's relay work well or any 24vdc 15A relay.I bought 200 of them on Ebay because they fail.
If you want to replace the relay, you may want to put a heavy wire jumper from the electric connection to the relay,it will stop the connecter over heat.
Don't even call Dexter ask about the pc board, their tech won't answer any questions or don't know anything about those pcb.
The Factory's pcbs relays don't have the voltage and current on them because theyu want you buy a new pc board.

Was there time on the computer? If so,the door switch plate could be stuck.Loosen the torx screws that hold the plate and center the plate and retighten. If it runs all the time follow what the guys said with the computer motor relay.

Thanks for the feedbacks. Here is the belated result. The motor relay was the cause of the problem. I swapped in a new/rebuilt warranty computer board and all was well. Appreciated Ken's, Msklaundry's, and Rob's insight.

If you would like to fix the board yourself you can order the relays from the following link for under $2.50 each. The P&B part # is T90S1D12-24. The Digikey # is PB111-ND. This is for the long style computer board not the short style computer board. Here is the link...

Type in T90S1D12-24 in the search box.

If you need it for the short board I'll have to get back to you with the correct part #.
