I have 3 of these older dryers, and thought the lights were burned out... the "service soon" lite at the top corner. 1 came on. What does it do? I assume lint drawer, I cleaned it but it was not that bad. Had never seen one come on.

The older S.Q. stacks used what they call latch relays. They control hi and lo flame on the burner. In design they were supposed to put the burner in lo flame because ther was a lack of air flow(lint build up). What happens is these relays stick and don't allow the burner to return to normal. They are located in the back where the spark board is.I believe its the upper of the two.Smack it with a screw driver handle(with power off)sometimes it frees the contacts. If not,you can replace it.PN 430528 Good luck!!!
