I wish to purchase a new 18-25 lb. front load soft mount washer extractor for a second floor residential installation. If durabiltiy and reliability are the most important factors, what models should I consider? Also, is a commercial Neptune worth the extra dollars over the domestic version?

gaken,
I have the MAH20 Neptune and have compared it to the home version and it is built better. I did notice on the MAH21 Neptune that it uses plastic tabs on the front panels whereas my model has metal tabs. If you are charging for the wash then get the commercial washer so you can have the vault and coin slide. If you are not charging for the wash get the $999 home version. There is also a $1299 home version, but you probably don't need to spend the extra money if you are not charging for the wash.
Either way the Neptune will save you money on utilities and at around 265 pounds the are easy to move to the second floor.

I agree. The Neptune is a great choice for your installation. No, don't go with the commercial version unless this is a coin or card application. If this is a free machine, get one of the residential versions. The extra cost doesn't really gain you anything.
