Who's going?

I am debating if I want to go. It will cost me approx. $1,100 for the hotel & airfare. I am trying to figure out if it is worth this money.

I am not a beginner, but I am not an expert. I am in the process of starting a commercial clientel. I am always looking for new "stuff".

I don't want to get there and find out that there is nothing worth my time & money.

Does anyone have any input on this?

Vinny

Having gone to many trade shows over the years - other industries, I am of the opinion that they are a total waste of time for the average customer. They are great for mechants as they can market their products to large numbers of customers all at once. Why would you pay to see their stuff, when you can call them and have them come to you at any time? Want opinions of other owners - ask here or on the CLA board or go to a local CLA meeting and meet other owners. That said, if you want a vacation and want to use this as an excuse then by all means go.

If you are into equipment, the Clean show is like going to Disneyland!

4 nights at Bally's at $69/night, airfare from Atlanta to Las Vegas just went on sale for about $200...

you've GOT wascomats and ADC dryers,

Until everyone see's them, they don't know.

In densely populated areas, sure, you can see every brand of equipment without going to a show, but many of us are "out in the boonies" and this is the easiest way to see everything side by side.

(besides, I hear moderators get free drinks !)

BTW, exactly where and when are we meeting for Hylobates Lars to buy us drinks?

Mike what you say might be true about not seeing every brand in the boonies - BUT- and this is a big but, do you want to buy a brand that no distributor anywhere in your area sells? What are you going to do when you need support or service that you cannot handle yourself. There must be a reason they are not in the area. Like in my neck of the woods I have never seen a Dexter washer, and there is no Dexter rep within 75 miles - do you think I would even consider Dexter? No way in hell would I buy a Dexter washer even if it was the best on the planet - as there is no support in my area.

What do we, (in the boonies) do then, just not open laundromats ?

We learn all there is to know from this group !

I did a check and found GoldCoin of NY is the distributor for NJ.

I called my closest Wascomat dealer (three hours away)and setup an appointment to look at and talk about purchasing a W655.

When I got there on Friday at 3:00pm, he was closed and gone for the day.

I need a dealer for this?

I took my business somewhere else.

Exactly my point, I'm not going to deal with a distributor in Queens or Brooklyn when I'm in North Western NJ.

We have distributors for the other brands close by, that is why I am guessing there are no Dexter products around here - why deal with someone far away when everyone else is close.
